The Fear of Eight Eyes

With six good eyes in stead of eight, Brown Recluse still sees well
Two less that most arachnid brothers it gets around just swell
Genus: Loxosceles, means the brown has a venomous bite
So keep an eye out for this little guy before you turn out the light

Lactodectus is a another spider who’s known for her sexual trait
She kills her suitor right after the act, must be hard to find her next mate
Black Widow of course is to who we refer, abdominal bright with red fiddle
Check your bed sheets at night from corner to corner, but also check the middle

A Wolf Spider is particularly creepy, but not because of its bite
The worst thing of all is with babies in tow it’s surely a horrible sight
For if spiders you fear, and most of us do, see one and we give it a whack
The Wolf mother dear can carry and does a hundred or so on her back

So stepping in shoes or moving old boxes beware the arachnid’s sharp teeth
For hiding in cracks or old shoes in the dark awaiting your fingers beneath
With swelling and itching and stinging to follow, necrosis or death at the worst
This can all be avoided, by carefully looking and probing with something else first
